Cancellation and refund policy

This policy applies to every paid workshop and recorded course on the platform. The rule that applies to your booking depends on what you bought: a live workshop (with a fixed date) or a recorded course (available to watch at any time). A recorded course takes the same terms as workshops, as set out in the sections below.

Live workshops have fixed session dates, either in person at the RS office in Cairo or online through Zoom. The refund terms depend on when you submit your cancellation request:

• One week or more before the first session: a full 100% refund of the amount paid.
• In the last week before the workshop starts: a refund of the amount paid minus 15% for administration and preparation costs.
• After attending the first lecture: no cash refund, but you can transfer your booking to any other RS workshop within 6 months at no extra charge.
• No-show without prior notice: no refund.

A recorded course is learning content that you buy to watch at any time, with no fixed date. The same terms as workshops apply to it in sections 4, 5, 6 and 7 (RS cancelling or rescheduling, refund processing times, coupons and how to request a refund). Because digital content is available to you immediately after payment, a refund window and a viewing limit are added:

• Within 7 days of the purchase date: a refund is available provided you have watched less than 20% of the course content.
• After 7 days, or after watching 20% or more: no refund, because of the nature of digital content that is available immediately.

• Cancellation by RS (because the minimum number of attendees was not reached, or for operational reasons): a full 100% refund with no deductions.
• Postponing or changing a session date: we notify you by email at least 48 hours beforehand. If the new date does not suit you, you can request a full refund with no conditions.

Once a refund request is approved, the amount is returned within the following times, depending on the original payment method:

• Payment through Paymob (credit cards / e-wallets): the amount is returned to the same payment method within 7 to 14 business days.
• Bank transfer or cash payment: the amount is returned by bank transfer to the account you give us within 3 to 5 business days.
• Vodafone Cash / InstaPay: the amount is returned the same way within 3 business days.

If you paid a reduced price (a discount coupon or an offer), the refund is calculated on the amount you actually paid, not the original price before the discount.

• Send an email to support@rspaac.com from the same email address registered on your account.
• In the email, state: the workshop or recorded course name and booking date, the booking number, the reason for the refund request, and the payment method.
• We reply to your request within one business day and tell you the decision.
• Once approved, the refund period starts according to the payment method (see section 5 above).
